Hope your summer is going well. What a gift this weather has been (in July!!). Tomorrow is Ann's birthday! If you're in the area, please stop in and wish her a great day - I know I will!!
Hope to see you soon,

Endless Summer

My two favorite flowers are tulips and hydrangea. These are fresh from my yard this morning. Don't they just take your breath away? My sweet husband is even impressed! I have vases full all over the house.
Hope you are having a relaxing July 4th weekend.

Take time to enjoy the little things,

more just in . . .

introducing . . .

Two adorable little girls came into the shop with their mom and grandmother and posed sweetly for this photograph. Their names are Hayes and Winley. (and Winley wanted me to add that Hayes is pretending to be "Sparkles" but she's just Winley.)

We just got in amazing handmade jewelry. Each piece is unique and made with the finest materials; Hill Tribe fine silver, semi precious gems, fresh water pearls, crystals and vintage buttons. Take a look!

one of the many reasons we love our work . . .

Linda walked in to the shop today with this and it took my breath away. It's a wonderful old, softly faded, pastural oil. I just want to lose myself in it and be in the painting. What other reaction could you possibly have?

What else can you do with a ladder?

We've been watching our ladders walk out of here at a rapid pace and it occurred to us that we should post some of the many creative ideas our customers are giving us for their use of said ladder. Well, of course there's the obvious, some actually need it for reaching things, others for a colorful garden trellis, hanging towels in the bathroom, draping quilts and throws, hanging magazines, hanging pots and pans in the kitchen, now it's kinda like a game. What will you use your ladder for? We'd love to hear from you.

A great idea!

While opening the shop the other day, I was enthusiastically greeted by two little first graders from a local elementary school, who'd been given the task, together with one of their mom's, to venture out into the town and interview businesses to find out how they came to be and how long they'd been in business. What a good teacher you must have, you lucky first graders! They walked around the store and reinforced more of the things they had learned in the classroom. They headed off to have lunch at a local eatery and then to the grocery store to select and weigh a piece of produce that they would later bring back to the classroom and give to their teacher who was to make a fruit salad out of the collective gatherings. Well done Lincoln Elementary First Grade teacher!!! and students!!!:)

New Stuff! Different Look!

I love the way a new piece plunked down in any old room can all of a sudden inspire a whole new look. This kind of inspiration (or happy accident) couldn't have come at a better time, with the windows open and the warmer temperatures, change is so welcomed.

Enjoy!
