It's Good to Have a Little Weight

Designers all know every room needs a touch of black.  It helps to add a little weight to a space.  Black causes the eye to pause as it gazes around a room.  You don't need a lot, perhaps a black lamp or a side table.  With that in mind, take a peek at these black lovelies that just found their way into the cottage....

I always appreciate seeing the new items at the shop - I do think it is a sweet shop.

However, nearly every time i visit there's the most unfriendly blonde woman behind the counter. I think she's one of the owner's (which is even worse) but I don't see her act nice to anyone that walks into the store. She's not helpful, friendly, and if you ask her a question (look out!) she begrudgingly offers up the bare minimal of replies.

It makes it hard to even want to support the shop, but to be honest - she probably wouldn't care if you did or not, at least that is her attitude. I've been a business owner for many years & I could never imagine treating my customers the way she does. It is embarrassing for the shop.

I've never said anything before but after my last visit - I just gave up understanding whatever her everyday issue might be.
