I am so thankful for all of my blessings

I don't always take the time to say how grateful I am to have you as friends and customers. But mostly friends. I feel so very fortunate to have this little business with my wonderful, generous and talented friend and (B U S I N E S S)partner, Linda. And to have met the people who are in my life now because of this little shop. People who have changed my life in amazing ways because of their friendship. Some who I knew before and now know better and some who I have met because of this place. It's amazing to look back on the past year and a half and see how much has happened in such a short time. And for it all I am so very thankful.

Gone shopping!

Linda and I are readying ourselves for a buying trip. Our dear friend, Amy Powers, will be holding down the fort for us while we drive off on our forage for unique one of a kind items! It seems to always be even more of an adventure when we bring Amy along. Seeing things through her eyes adds a whole new flavor to the mix, but this time she's remaining behind. Truthfully, I think the last time we took her to this particular auction we nearly killed her. It's rather intense and not for the faint of heart. Our sweet, delicate flower nearly wilted right off her stem. We found her asleep in the car, mouth open.

I think sometimes in our buying fervor we simply lose track of everything. It's a high of sorts, a buying frenzy, the hunt for the good old find. Like a safari for junk.

Good junk. The stuff that's not so easy to come by. We can't get enough.

We hope to fill the shop with the treasures we find when we return on Thursday. If you're in the area come by and see what we've dug up.

Memorial Day Remembrances. . .

A heartfelt remembrance goes out to all the loved ones who have gone on before us with enormous appreciation for those who have given their lives so that others may live.
I hope you enjoy this beautiful Memorial Day Weekend with those you love and by sharing happy memories of those you've lost who live on in and through you.


In keeping in retail tradition, we're celebrating this weekend at the shop by having an unadvertised sale. We just finished hanging our "SALE" flag and taping tags on almost everything in the shop!! If there's a piece of furniture in here that's been haunting you, you may want to come in and see if it just can't come home with you. Don't wait too long. The sale ends at the close of business, Monday! See you soon.
